• AN ORDINANCE GRANTING LEASE AND MANAGEMENT RIGHTS FOR THE CITY PARKING STRUCTURE TO CHARLOTTESVILLE PARKING CENTER, INC., AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT THEREFOR. WHEREAS, the proposal of the City of Charlottesville to grant certain lease and management rights in and to the City Parking Structure located in the block bounded by East Main Street, Fifth Street, N. E. , and East Market Street, for a period in excess of five years, was duly advertised in accordance with the require- ments of Chapter 2 of Article 9, Title 15.1 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended; and WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by the City Council for the granting of such lease and management rights at its regular meeting on December 15, 1975; and WHEREAS, the sole bid received, opened, and read aloud at such meeting was the bid of Charlottesville Parking Center, Incorporated, for such lease and management rights upon terms and conditions variously set forth in the lease and management agreement granting such rights; and . WHEREAS, the Council finds it to be in the best interest of the City to accept such bid of Charlottesville Parking Center, Inc.; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville: §1. That the bid of Charlottesville Parking Center, Inc. for the lease and manage- ment rights in and to the City Parking Structure is hereby accepted. §2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute on behalf of the City a document containing twenty-eight pages, styled "City of Charlottesville, Virginia Lease and Management Agreement with Charlottesville Parking Center, Inc." setting forth the terms and conditions of such rights hereby granted. A copy of such executed document shall be kept on file with the minutes of the meeting of Council at which this ordinance was finally adopted.
