• <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />CLOSING, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING <br />A PORTION OF UNOPENED WOODLAND DRIVE <br />IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE <br />WHEREAS, proper notice that W. T. Walter, et al., would make <br />application to the City Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, to <br />have the hereinafter described street closed, vacated and discontinued was <br />duly posted; and <br />WHEREAS, all the owners abutting said street have been duly <br />notified; and <br />WHEREAS, application was made to the City Council and pursuant to <br />the statutes in such cases made and provided, the Council appointed viewers <br />who have reported that no inconvenience would result from such closing, <br />vacating and discontinuance; and <br />• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that the said street located in the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, described as follows is hereby closed, vacated and <br />discontinued as a public thoroughfare of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, <br />said street not being needed for public use and travel: <br />• <br />That unopened portion of Woodland Drive starting at a point <br />approximately 10' southeast of said barricade, extending <br />southeastward along the existing drainage ditch for <br />approximately 131' along Parcels 18.1, 19 and 19.1 on City <br />Tax Map 20. <br />There is hereby reserved to the City of Charlottesville, an easement <br />twenty feet in width through the entire length of the street hereby closed for <br />the maintenance and repair of an existing sanitary sewer line. <br />Adopted by the Council <br />September 12, 1977 <br />(%c 1- L_ <br />Copy Teste: i < •r1 <br />Clerk <br />
