Aisles; entrance, exit driveways and loading space. <br />Aisles, entrance and exit driveways shall be built to the following <br />minimum specifications: <br />(c) The location and design of entrance and exit driveways for <br />all parking areas, except those serving one -family attached <br />and detached and two-family dwellings, shall be approved by <br />the planning commission or the director of planning to insure <br />a safe and convenient means of ingress and egress, and shall <br />conform to the following standards: <br />(1) No driveway shall exceed fifty feet in width at the <br />property line, nor sixty feet at the curb line. <br />• (2) No driveway entering a street at the curb line shall <br />be located within fifteen feet of the right of way of <br />an intersecting street, or less than five feet from <br />the end of the curb radius. <br />(3) No driveway shall be located within fear five feet, <br />at the curb line, from the line of the adjacent <br />property. <br />(4) Where more than one driveway is provided along a <br />frontage in single ownership, there shall be a separa- <br />tion of at least twenty feet at the curb line, and <br />a six inch raised protective curb parallel to the <br />street extending not less than two-thirds the length <br />of the island shall be placed inside the property line <br />between the driveways. <br />(5) The planning commission or director of planning may <br />allow a joint driveway for adjacent properties facing <br />a public right of way, if in their opinion such <br />arrangement will improve safety and circulation. <br />Section 31-164.
