AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />SECTION 31-162 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, <br />AS AMENDED, RELATING TO STANDARDS <br />FOR DEVELOPMENT OF OFF-STREET PARKING AREAS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />§31-162 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as amended, be <br />amended and reordained as follows: <br />Section 31-162. Drainage, resistance to erosion and <br />maintenance and slope. <br />All off-street parking facilities whether required under this-eh&pter <br />or not, for multi -family residential, commercial, industrial, institutional or <br />recreational uses shall be so drained as to prevent damage to abutting <br />properties or public streets and shall be constructed with a minimum improved <br />• surface of surface treated gravel or other surface resistant to erosion and <br />acceptable to the director of public works. The owner of the parking facility <br />shall be responsible for maintenance of such drainage and surface. Parking <br />areas shall be construqted with a slope of five percent or less. The <br />planning commission or the director of planning may, however, permit slopes <br />up to ten percent where necessary for reasons of topography. <br />Copy Teste: <br />0 <br />Adopted by tine Council <br />December 4, 1978 <br />
