AN ORDINANCE • TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTIONS 20-22, 20-24 AND 20-28 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO RETIREMENT. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Sections 20-22, 20-24 and 20-28 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as amended, are hereby amended and reordained to read as follows: Section 20-22. Service retirement; mandatory retirement dates; cessation of benefit accurals. No other member shall be permitted to continue in service after the first day of the month coinciding with or next following his seventieth birthday.
