a <br />(b) For members returning at or after their normal ret <br />ment dates, such calculation shall <br />ment date. <br />made at the normal retire - <br />(c) Such calculation shall be based upon the federal <br />social security laws and benefit schedules in effect at the <br />time the calculation is made. <br />(d) The <br />shall be base <br />credits as an <br />imary social security benefit calcu <br />.. i -1,o mcmhcr'c artital -,racial securl <br />and on the assumptions: <br />ion <br />(1) That the member is or will be sixty-five years <br />of age at the date of retirement (regardless of the <br />member's actual aqe at such date); <br />(2) That the member's wages in any calendar year in <br />which less than a full year of creditable service was <br />accrued were the same as in the first succeeding year <br />in which a full year of creditable service was accrued. <br />(e) In the case of a member retiring under the provisions <br />of Section 20-22(d) of this chapter, such calculation shall be <br />based on the further assumption that such member's creditable <br />compensation had continued to his date of retirement at the same <br />• rate which was in effect at the time the member terminated service. <br />(f) Once the primary social securi <br />calculated it shall be used to make the <br />city benefit due the member. Disability retirement <br />(a) Any member in service who has five or more years of creditable <br />• <br />service may retire, or may be retired by his appointing authority, at <br />any time prior to the member's normal retirement date on account of <br />disability upon wirtten notification to the commission made by the <br />
