CA <br />• <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />SECTION 31-154 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, <br />AS AMENDED, RELATING TO <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR <br />OFF-STREET PARKING SPACES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia: <br />1. That §31-154 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1976, <br />as amended, be amended and reordained as follows: <br />Section 31-154. Required parking spaces. <br />The following chart sets the number of parking spaces required <br />for specific uses: <br />TYPE OF USE <br />(d) Business: <br />MINIMUM NUMBER OF REQUIRED <br />PARKING SPACES <br />(3) Furniture, hardware,l space for each 500 sq. ft. <br />wholesale and floor area open to the public; <br />other similar parking attributable to storage <br />establishments. or stockroom space shall be <br />calculated at the rate of 1 <br />space for each 2 employees, with <br />a minimum of 2 such spaces <br />required. <br />(e) Industrial: <br />(1) Industries, <br />warehouses, <br />laundries, dairies, <br />research labora- <br />tories, factories <br />and similar <br />establishments. <br />1 space for each two employees on <br />maximum working shift AND 1 space <br />for each owned or leased vehicle <br />used in operation of the business <br />BUT <br />In all cases a minimum of 2 <br />customer parking spaces shall be <br />provided. <br />
