AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTIONS 2-129 AND 2-133 <br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, <br />AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE DEVELOPMENT GROUP. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that §2-129 and §2-133 of the Code of the City of <br />Charlottesville, 1976, as amended, are amended and reordained as <br />follows: <br />Section 2-129. Meetings; quorum. <br />The Charlottesville development group shall hold a minimum of <br />one regularly scheduled meeting per menth quarter and may hold such <br />additional special meetings and work sessions as may be called by <br />the chairman or at the request of any four members made in writing <br />to the secretary of the group. Upon receipt of such written request, <br />the secretary shall notify the membership and the press of the time, <br />. place and purpose of the meeting, at least five days in advance <br />thereof. A majority of the members appointed to the group shall <br />constitute a quorum. The proceedings of the group shall be subject, <br />where applicable, to the provisions of the Virginia Freedom of <br />Information Act. <br />Section 2-133. Review of effectiveness. <br />Three years after the adoption of this article and each three <br />years thereafter city council shall review the achievements of the <br />group and determine whether it has fulfilled the purposes for which <br />it was created. Unless council shall have adopted a resolution or <br />amendment to this article to continue the group in existence for -an <br />ee�dst#ene�-stated-gerie�-of-t#ne within one hundred eighty days of <br />the conclusion of each such three year period, the terms of all <br />members of the group shall be deemed terminated and it shall cease <br />to exist. <br />Adopted by Council' <br />March 16, 1981 <br />Attester <br />• <br />Clerk of Council <br />
