n u AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING A PORTION OF THE DEDICATED RIGHT-OF-WAY OF ST. CLAIR AVENUE, BETWEEN SYCAMORE STREET AND EAST HIGH STREET. WHEREAS, proper notice that James M. Marshall would make application to the City Council of the City of Charlottesville, to have the hereinafter described right-of-way closed, vacated and discontinued was duly posted; and WHEREAS, all owners abutting said right-of-way have been duly notified; and WHEREAS, application was made to the City Council and pursuant to the statutes in such cases made and provided, the Council appoint- ed viewers who have reported that no inconvenience would result from such closure, vacation and discontinuance, provided, it was limited only to that portion of said right-of-way presently encroached upon by a building presently located at 1200 Sycamore Street; • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that the portion of said right-of-way located in said City, described as follows, is hereby closed, vacated and discontinued as a public throughfare of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, said right-of-way not being needed for public use and travel: That certain area containing 253 square feet, as shown on the attached plat of William S. Roudabush, Inc., dated June 17, 1981, being a portion of the existing dedicated right-of-way of St. Clair Avenue between Sycamore and East High Street, which parcel shall be added to and become a part of Lot 1B in the Locust Grove Subdivision, also known and designated as Parcel 23 on City Real Property Tax Map Sheet 54. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED to execute a quit -claim deed conveying the herein vacated aforesaid adjacent parcel. • Atteste: Clerk of Council that the Mayor is hereby authorized in form approved by the City Attorney right-of-way to the owner of the Adopted by Council July 20, 1981
