• (2) In all other cases, the zoning administrator shall <br />be responsible for posting signs within two working days from <br />the date of filing of the application. <br />is <br />• <br />(c) Location and number of signs: <br />(1) For one lot: One sign visible for the abutting <br />street, and no farther than ten feet from the abutting street <br />right-of-way. <br />(2) For two through ten contiguous lots: One sign at <br />each end of the lots sought to be changed, and there shall be at <br />least one sign visible from each abutting street and not farther <br />than ten feet from the abutting street right-of-way. <br />(3) For more than ten contiguous lots: Two signs <br />posted adjacent to each abutting street and not farther than ten <br />feet from the abutting street(s). <br />(d) Content of sign: Such signs shall contain the following: <br />"Application has been made to the City Council to change the zoning <br />classification for this property from .......... to ...... .. For <br />information, call the Department of Community Development." <br />(e) Such signs shall be furnished by the zoning administrator <br />and shall be located so as to be clearly visible and readable from <br />the street. <br />(f) Signs on each property shall not be deemed necessary to <br />adopt a new zoning district map for the city. <br />(g) Maintenance of signs: It shall be the duty of the <br />applicant, or his designee, to maintain, or to replace the signs <br />if they are obliterated or destroyed, until such time as the <br />council has disposed of the petition. The individuals responsible <br />for posting the sign as specified in this section, shall be <br />responsible for their maintenance. <br />(h) At the public hearing held by city council and by the <br />planning commission on the petition, the petitioner may be asked <br />to affirm that such posting has been done. If such signs are <br />obliterated or destroyed during the period required to be posted <br />such fact shall not be essential to jurisdiction of the petition <br />by the city council or the planning commission if the petitioner <br />satisfies the city council or planning commission that such signs <br />were originally properly posted and that such obliteration or <br />destruction occurred without the petitioner's knowledge. {12-15-457 <br />5-264.* <br />Approved by Council: October 3, 1983 4w.4L.U. <br />rk of Council <br />83-7-28 <br />
