C, <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION 2-127 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, <br />SUCH AMENDED SECTION RELATING TO THE <br />TERMS OF MEMBERS OF THE <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE DEVELOPMENT GROUP. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia: <br />1. That section 2-127 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, <br />1976, is amended as follows: <br />Section 2-127. Membership;; appointment;; <br />terms of members;; vacancies. <br />The Charlottesville development group shall be composed of <br />fifteen members who shall be appointed by the city council. <br />Initial appointments shall be for terms of three years. Initial <br />members may be reappointed for a second, consecutive, three-year <br />• term, but Tthereafter, all appointments shall be for terms of <br />one, two and three years, as designated by council; emeept-€er <br />apps#ntanents-te-€¢}}-veeanetea-wh}eh-sha}}-be-€er-the-nnexp}red <br />reixa#nder-e€-the-term; provided, that the existence of the group <br />is continued pursuant to section 2-133 of this Code. Appointments <br />to fill vacancies shall be for the unexpired remainder of the term <br />No member shall serve for more than two terms seven years, except <br />for members appointed to fill vacancies who may serve for the <br />equivalent of two additional full three-year terms. <br />2.
