AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CITY PROPERTY <br />4TH AND HIGH STREETS, N.E. <br />WHEREAS, First Virginia Bank is the owner of property located <br />at the northwest corner of Fourth and Jefferson Streets, N. E. on <br />which it desires to construct a branch Bank; and <br />WHEREAS, First Virginia Bank has requested the conveyance of <br />a small portion of the adjacent property fronting on Fourth and <br />High Streets currently used as a public parking lot, and it <br />appears this request can be granted without reducing the number <br />of parking spaces available on that lot; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia, that the Mayor is authorized to execute a special <br />warranty deed, conveying to First Virginia Bank - Central a strip <br />of land 6.88 feet in width along the boundary between City Tax <br />Map Parcels 33-206 and 33-207, for a consideration of $3,400.00. <br />The Mayor is further authorized to execute a subdivision plat <br />showing a redivision of such two parcels, for recordation with <br />such deed. The deed shall be in form approved by the City Attorney <br />and the plat shall be prepared by the City Engineer. <br />Approved by Council <br />July 18, 1983 <br />• 83-7-19 <br />
