0, <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />CLOSING, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING <br />A PORTION OF AN ALLEY OFF EAST MARKET STREET <br />WHEREAS, proper notice that United Associates and George <br />Gilmer, Jr. would make application to the City Council of <br />the City of Charlottesville, to have the hereinafter described <br />alley closed, vacated and discontinued was duly posted and <br />advertised; and <br />WHEREAS, all owners abutting said alley have been duly <br />notified; and <br />WHEREAS, application was made to the City Council, and <br />pursuant to the statutes in such cases made and provided, <br />the Council appointed viewers who have reported that no <br />inconvenience would result from such closure, vacation and <br />discontinuance; now therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Char- <br />lottesville,- Virginia, that the said alley located in said <br />City, described as follows, is hereby closed, vacated and <br />discontinued as a public thoroughfare of the City of Char- <br />lottesville, Virginia, said alley not being needed for <br />public use and travel: <br />That portion of an alley off East Market Street, <br />approximately 135 feet long and 15 feet wide, <br />and adjacent to Parcels 271, 272 and 273 on <br />City Real Property Tax Map 54. <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Clerk of the Council <br />shall send a copy of this ordinance with plat attached to <br />the Clerk of the Circuit Court for recordation in the current <br />street closing book. <br />Approved by Council <br />July 1, 1985 <br />C e o�uncil <br />85-7-26 <br />
