requirements of the article satisfied, and that the condition of <br />the work has not significantly deteriorated during the one year <br />• since its completion. <br />(d) A bond shall not be required for work done by city <br />personnel under the supervision of the director of public works. <br />Section 25-32.1. Standards <br />• <br />The director of public works shall adopt and maintain for <br />inspection comprehensive pavement cutting, excavating, back- <br />filling, compacting and patching standards for all repair and <br />restoration work done in public ways. All work performed <br />pursuant to a permit issued under this article shall be in <br />compliance with all applicable standards. <br />If work done or being done pursuant to a permit issued under <br />this article has not been done or is not being done in accordance <br />with the permit, or a public way is not left in satisfactory <br />condition, notice of such defect shall be given to the permittee. <br />The permittee shall be required to correct the condition within <br />the time specified in the notice. <br />Upon receipt of a notice given under this section, should <br />the permittee refuse or fail to correct the condition referred to <br />in such notice within the specified time, the director of public <br />works may cancel the permit in question and cause the necessary <br />work to be done, deducting the cost thereof from the bond or <br />letter of credit. <br />Section 25-34.2. Clean-up. <br />At the conclusion of the work in the public way, the work <br />area shall be thoroughly cleaned of all rubbish, excess earth, <br />rock and other debris resulting from such work. All clean-up <br />operations at such site shall be accomplished at the expense of <br />the permittee and shall be completed to the satisfaction of the <br />director of public works. <br />Section 25-34.3. Construction with franchises. <br />Nothing in this article shall be deemed to relieve any <br />person of the obligation to obtain a franchise for the use <br />city streets when such franchise is required under other <br />applicable provisions of city or state law.
