Protection of property permitted <br />Nothing in this article shall prohibit a person property <br />owner from requiring that cable communications system facilities <br />conform to laws and regulations and reasonable conditions <br />necessary to protect safety, functioning, appearance and value of <br />premises of the convenience and safety of persons and property. <br />Section 5.1-7. Risks assumed by franchise. <br />Nothing in this article shall prohibit a person from <br />requiring a cable communications or 6ATV Company system <br />to agree to indemnify the owner of property, or his agents or <br />representatives from liability for damages caused by the <br />installation, operation, maintenance or removal of cable <br />communications facilities. <br />Section 5.1-8.1. Theft of services and tampering. <br />A. No person shall intercept descramble, decode, or <br />receive or assist in intercepting, descramblinq, decoding or <br />receiving any signals from a lawfully franchised cable <br />communications system unless specifically authorized to do so by <br />the operator of the system. Assisting in intercepting, <br />• descramblinq decoding or receiving shall include the <br />manufacture or distribution of equipment intended by the <br />manufacturer or distributor for unauthorized reception of signals <br />over a cable communication system. <br />B. No person shall tamper with, remove or injure any cable, <br />wires, or other devices used with a lawfully franchised cable <br />communications system unless specifically authorized to do so by <br />the system operator. <br />C. No person shall intentionally deprive a cable <br />communications system of a lawful charge for cable service. <br />D. No person shall resell Company's cable services without <br />Company's express, written consent. <br />E. If an unauthorized device designed to intercept, <br />descramble, or decode a cable television signal is present on the <br />premises or property occupied and used by a person, it shall be <br />rebuttably presumed that the person knowingly used the device to <br />intercept, descramble or decode cable signals. If an <br />unauthorized cable connection is present on the premises or <br />property occupied and used by a person, it shall be rebuttably <br />presumed that the person knowingly used the connection to <br />intercept, descramble, or decode cable signals. <br />• F. This section shall not be deemed to impair any rights or <br />remedies at law or in equity available to a cable system <br />operator. <br />
