<br />AS SEVERALLY AMENDED, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE,
<br />1976, IN ORDER TO MODIFY THE ZONING AND LAND USE REGULATIONS OF
<br />THE CITY WITH RESPECT TO THE DEFINITION OF SIGNS; NAMES OF ZONING
<br />DISTRICTS; PERMISSIBLE HOME OCCUPATIONS; AREA PARKING AND
<br />RECREATION REQUIREMENTS IN R-3 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS; CONTENTS OF
<br />PLANS OF DEVELOPMENT; FINANCIAL GUARANTEES FOR PLANNED UNIT
<br />DEVELOPMENT USES PERMITTED IN B-1, B-2 AND B-3 BUSINESS
<br />DISTRICTS; OFFSETTING STORAGE REQUIREMENTS FOR FILLING IN FLOOD
<br />PLAINS; APPLICABILITY OF ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN CONTROLS;
<br />MAINTENANCE OF PROPERTIES SUBJECT TO DESIGN CONTROLS; STANDARDS
<br />FOR PARKING SPACES; SIGNS ALLOWED WITHOUT PERMIT; SITE PLAN
<br />CRITERIA FOR DRAINAGE, LANDSCAPING, SIDEWALKS, CAR WASHES AND
<br />DUMPSTER ENCLOSURES; AND ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
<br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that Sections 31-5, 31-13, 31-27,
<br />31-33, 31-34, 31-66, 31-70, 31-79, 31-85, 31-92, 31-120, 31-127.2,
<br />31-159, 31-183, 31-195, 31-196, 31-200, 31-201, 31-202, 31-208.2
<br />• and 31-214, as severally amended, of the Code of the City of
<br />Charlottesville, 1976, are amended and reordained as follows:
<br />Section 31-5. Division of city into zoning districts;
<br />enumeration.
<br />For the purposes enumerated in section 31-2 of this chapter,
<br />the city is divided into zoning districts. The zoning districts
<br />shall be known as:
<br />R-1 Residential District
<br />R-2 Residential District
<br />R-3 Multiple -Dwelling District
<br />R HD Residential Higher Density District
<br />R MHP Mobile Home Park Residential District
<br />R MHS Mobile Home Subdivision District
<br />PUD Planned Unit Development Residential District
<br />B-1 Business District
<br />B-2 Business District
<br />B-3 Business District
<br />B-4 Business District
<br />M-1 Restricted Industrial District
<br />M-2 General Industrial District
<br />FP Flood Plain and Conservation District
<br />ADC and DADC Historic Preservation and Architectural Design
