• Section 12-7. Purchased gas adjustment. <br />In computing gas customer billings, the basic rate charges <br />established under sections 12-3, 12-4, and 12-6 and 12-6.1 of <br />this Code shall be adjusted to reflect increases and decreases in <br />the cost of gas supplied to the City. Such increases or <br />decreases shall be computed as follows: <br />• <br />(a) Base unit costs. For the purpose of computations <br />herein, the costs and charges for determining the base unit costs <br />of gas are (1) supplier tariffs, (2) contract quantities and (3) <br />costs of substitute natural gas, in effect Aprll l; 1987 March 1. <br />1988. Such base unit costs are 53..4802 $3.5811 per thousand <br />cubic feet for firm gas service and 42-9434 $3.3579 per thousand <br />cubic feet for interruptible gas service. <br />(b) Periodic adjustment. In the event of any changes in <br />supplier tariffs, contract quantities or costs of scheduled <br />substitute natural gas, the unit costs shall be recomputed on the <br />basis of such change in accordance with procedures approved by <br />the City Manager.
