ALTERNATIVE "B" <br />• AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE TO PETER AND COLBY JOHNSON <br />OF A PORTION OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF VINE STREET <br />AND TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR'S SIGNATURE <br />ON THE DEED OF CONVEYANCE. <br />WHEREAS, Peter and Colby Johnson, owners of property <br />located at 617 Rives Street, have requested City Council to <br />authorize the sale of a portion of the right-of-way of Vine <br />Street, an unopened but dedicated street; <br />WHEREAS, the house and garage located at 617 Rives <br />Street (Parcel 62 on City Tax Map 56) encroach onto Vine <br />Street; <br />WHEREAS, Vine Street is sixty (60) feet wide and only <br />fifty (50) feet is necessary for development of the right-of- <br />way, should the City wish to open the street at a later date; <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development has no objection to the sale of such portion of <br />the right-of-way; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottes- <br />ville, Virginia that the sale of ten (10) feet of the right- <br />of-way of unopened Vine Street, for the length of Parcel 62 <br />on City Tax Map 56, or approximately 180 feet, for the sum of <br />$1,500.00 is hereby authorized, and the Mayor is authorized <br />to execute a deed of conveyance prepared by the City <br />Attorney's Office. <br />Approved by Council <br />May 16, 1988 <br />K� <br />(LZerk of Council <br />77-7-23 <br />
