(i) Customer Providing <br />More <br />Gas Than Customer's <br />Usage <br />In <br />any month when either <br />• <br />type of transportation <br />customer's <br />actual <br />gas <br />usage at any metered <br />service <br />connection is less <br />than <br />the <br />City. As of June 1. 1989, such tolerance limits and penalties <br />imposed by Columbia Gas were as follows: <br />1) During the period from November 1 through April 30 <br />transportation gas available for any month may exceed <br />actual gas usage for that month by 3% or less of <br />scheduled transportation gas for that month without <br />penalty. <br />actual gas usage for that month by 10% or less of <br />scheduled transportation gas for that month without <br />penalty. <br />. shall pay a penalty equal to that penalty charged the Cil <br />Columbia Gas or others as a result of such excess imbalance <br />(j) Other Terms and Conditions. Except as otherwise <br />specifically provided herein, the application of this interruptible <br />transportation service is subject to the provisions of the Code of <br />the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as amended, as they may be in <br />effect from time to time, and as approved by the City Council. To <br />the extent not otherwise specified in this section, the terms and <br />conditions of interruptible sales service shall apply. <br />Section 12-7. Purchased gas adjustment. <br />In computing gas customer billings, the basic rate charges <br />established under sections 12-3, 12-4, 12-6 and 12-6.1 of this code <br />shall be adjusted to reflect increases and decreases in the cost <br />of gas supplied to the city. Such increases or decreases shall be <br />computed as follows: <br />(a) Base unit costs. For the purpose of computations herein, <br />the costs and charges for determining the base unit costs of gas <br />are (1) supplier tariffs, (2) contract quantities and (3) costs of <br />substitute natural gas, in effect or proposed March 1, 4988 1989. <br />Such base unit costs are $9TSell $3.6757 per thousand cubic feet <br />for firm gas service and $9-a5-79 $3.4309 per thousand cubic feet <br />is <br />for interruptible gas service. <br />8 <br />
