• AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION 31-117 OF THE CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, <br />RELATING TO REVISIONS TO THE FLOOD BOUNDARY <br />AND FLOODWAY MAPS FOR THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE. <br />1] <br />0 <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia, that Section 31-117 of Article XV of the Code of the City <br />of Charlottesville, 1976, as amended, is hereby amended and <br />reordained as follows: <br />Sec. 31-117 <br />ARTICLE XV. FLOOD PLAIN (FP) AND <br />CONSERVATION DISTRICT. <br />Division 1. <br />Regulations. <br />Applicability. <br />The FP District boundaries are hereby established as the <br />boundaries of the one hundred year flood, as shown on the Flood <br />Boundary and Floodway Maps for the City of Charlottesville, <br />prepared by the Federal Insurance Administration, U.S. Department <br />of Housing and Urban Development, issued June 15, 1979, and revised <br />May 3, 1990, and described in the accompanying Flood Insurance <br />Study. Such maps and studies, which shall be lodged in the <br />Department of Planning and Community Development. are hereby <br />incorporated by reference in this article. The FP District is <br />intended to overlap the existing zones of the territory included <br />within the area of the one hundred year flood, and the regulations <br />imposed by this article are intended as supplemental to and not in <br />lieu of the existing zoning regulations within such boundaries. <br />Approved by Council <br />August 6, 1990 <br />QAdrk of City Counci <br />-7-30 <br />
