• AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AUTHORIZE THE CONVEYANCE OF TWO PARCELS OF LAND <br />ON LANE ROAD TO THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA. <br />WHEREAS, on July 15, 1991, this Council approved the <br />acquisition of certain parcels on Lane Road in order to accommodate <br />the relocation of Lane Road, and the subsequent transfer of said <br />parcels to the University of Virginia to allow construction of an <br />addition to Jordan Hall; now, therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that this Council hereby authorizes the conveyance to the <br />University of Virginia of two parcels, designated as Parcels 134 <br />and 135 on City Tax Map 11, situate in the City of Charlottesville <br />on Lane Road, said parcels having been acquired by the City through <br />• its power of eminent domain. The Mayor is hereby authorized to <br />execute a quitclaim deed, in form approved by the City Attorney, <br />and the City Attorney is hereby authorized to take whatever steps <br />are necessary to effect the conveyance of said property. <br />Approved by Council <br />December 2, 1991 <br />C k of City Council <br />9Y-7-40 <br />• <br />
