11 <br />• <br />4 <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />TO QUITCLAIM NATURAL GAS LINES <br />LOCATED IN THE MILL CREEK SUBDIVISION <br />TO THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. <br />WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is <br />prepared to take over maintenance of portions of the roadways known <br />as Stoney Creek Drive, Copper Hill Drive, Arrow Wood Drive, and <br />Bent Tree Court, as shown on the attached plat, all located within <br />the County of Albemarle; and <br />WHEREAS, the City now owns natural gas lines located within <br />the above -referenced roadways, and also owns an easement for such <br />lines, and VDOT has asked that the foregoing easements be released <br />upon VDOT's acceptance of the roadways; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a deed of <br />quitclaim, in form approved by the City Attorney, for release of <br />certain gas line easements to the Virginia Department of <br />Transportation conditioned upon a receipt by the City for a VDOT <br />permit allowing said lines to continue to be located in said <br />right-of-way. <br />Approved by Council <br />Plovember 18, 1991 <br />erk of City Counci <br />1-7-36 <br />
