AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTIONS 7-3 AND 7-5 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />• CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1990, AS AMENDED, TO PROVIDE FOR <br />INCREASES IN FEES FOR THE OPERATION OF CEMETERIES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that Sections 7-3 and 7-5 of Chapter 7 of the Code of the <br />City of Charlottesville, 1990, as amended, is hereby amended and <br />reordained as follows: <br />Sec. 7-3. Charges for spaces in Oakwood Cemetery. <br />The following charges shall be made for grave spaces in <br />Oakwood Cemetery: In Divisions H, J, K and L ene-handreel-de��ars <br />f$168Teej two hundred dollars ($200.00) for each space; except that <br />urn spaces in Division J shall be ten dollars ($10.00) for each <br />space; in Division G, £iffy-deffars-f$59-99j seventy-five dollars <br />($75.00). <br />Sec. 7-5. Charges for opening graves and for vaults. <br />(a) The following charges shall be made for opening graves <br />when interment occurs on weekdays: <br />(1) Where the outside case is three (3) feet or less in <br />length, one hundred dollars <br />($100.00). <br />is <br />(2) Where the outside case exceeds three (3) feet in length, <br />ene-iid",feel-- two hundred <br />fifty dollars ($250.00). <br />(3) Where an urn is to be buried in an urn space, f}ffq <br />de}hers-f$59-99j seventy-five dollars ($75.00). <br />(b) The following charges shall be made for opening graves <br />when interment occurs on weekends or holidays: <br />(1) Where the outside case is three (3) feet or less in <br />length, two hundred fifes <br />dollars ($250.00). <br />(2) Where the outside case exceeds three (3) feet in length, <br />tkree--lx�txirecf-�3er13s -f $399-66j three hundred fifty <br />dollars ($350.00). <br />(3) Where an urn is to be buried in an urn space, one-kttndred <br />seventy-five--eleffars--f$4�5-99j two hundred dollars <br />($200.00). <br />(c) Unless a concrete, steel or polypropylene vault is <br />furnished on behalf of a person to be buried, the city shall <br />furnish a polypropylene vault at a charge not to exceed byre-kttndred <br />dei}ars-($299} three hundred dollars ($300.00).
