• <br />• <br />• <br />stipulated fine or by filing a request for review or hearing with <br />the parking enforcement bureau within ten (10) days, shall be <br />subject to summons and arrest pursuant to Code of Virginia, section <br />46.2 -941. <br />Section 15 -150. Presumption in prosecution for parking <br />violation. <br />In any prosecution charging a violation of any provisions of <br />this article regulating parking, proof that the vehicle described <br />in the complaint, summons, parking violation notice or warrant was <br />parked in violation of this article, together with proof that the <br />defendant was, at the time, the registered owner of the vehicle, <br />shall constitute in evidence a prima facie presumption that the <br />registered owner of the vehicle was the person who committed the <br />violation. <br />Section 15 -151. Driving or riding vehicle upon sidewalk; <br />vehicles parking or standing upon sidewalk or <br />intersection. <br />No person shall, except on such pavement and at such places as <br />are provided for in section 28 -20, drive or ride a vehicle upon a <br />sidewalk, nor shall any person permit a vehicle to park or stand on <br />a sidewalk or upon a street crossing. Any person violating the <br />provisions of this section shall be fined thirty -five dollars <br />($35.00). If the required amount is not received in the city <br />treasurer's office, placed in the "courtesy box" located in the <br />lobby of the city police department or mailed and postmarked within <br />forty -eight (48) hours after the notice of violation is issued, the <br />amount of the applicable fine shall be doubled. <br />1993. <br />3.
