• A RESOLUTION <br />AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO <br />CHANGE THE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES ON HIGHLAND AVENUE <br />FROM TWO FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO ONE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL <br />WHEREAS, on January 16, 1990, the City of Charlottesville <br />adopted a new Land Use Plan, followed by a comprehensive rezoning <br />in the City on June 3, 1991; and, <br />WHEREAS, it now appears that certain properties on Highland <br />Avenue may have been inadvertently or mistakenly omitted from the <br />group of properties in the City which were classified as One Family <br />Residential on the Land Use Plan and subsequently rezoned to an R- <br />RA zoning classification; and, <br />WHEREAS, on April 14, 1992, the City Council and the Planning <br />Commission held a joint public hearing to consider whether these <br />Highland Avenue properties should be classified as One Family <br />Residential on the Land Use Plan, and rezoned to R-lA Residential; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the properties immediately to the north and to the <br />south of the aforementioned properties are designated as One Family <br />Residential; and, <br />• WHEREAS, the parcels in question on Highland Avenue are an <br />appropriate size for single family residential use, and the <br />predominant use on this portion of Highland Avenue is single family <br />residential; and, <br />WHEREAS, the public necessity, convenience, general welfare <br />and good zoning practice require a change in the Land Use Plan's <br />classification of certain parcels on Highland Avenue, identified on <br />City Real Estate Tax Map 21 as Parcels 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, <br />121, 126, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131 and the northern portion of <br />131.1, from Two Family Residential to One Family Residential; and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville that the Land Use Plan of the Comprehensive Plan is <br />hereby amended to change the classification of those properties on <br />Highland Avenue, identified on City Real Estate Tax Map 21 as <br />Parcels 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 126, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131 <br />and the northern portion of 131.1, from Two Family Residential to <br />One Family Residential. <br />Approved by Council <br />May 4, 1992 <br />• rk of City Council <br />92-1-16 <br />
