• AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AMEND AN OPTION GRANTED TO THE CHARLOTTESVILLE HOUSING <br />FOUNDATION/AIDS SUPPORT GROUP TO PURCHASE <br />CITY PROPERTY ON SHAMROCK ROAD <br />WHEREAS, on June 25, 1992, the Charlottesville City Council <br />granted the Charlottesville Housing Foundation/Aids Support Group <br />an option to purchase the western one-half of a parcel of land <br />owned by the City of Charlottesville, designated as Parcel 64 on <br />City Tax Map 22, on Shamrock Road in the City of Charlottesville; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the terms of the Option required that it be exercised <br />before January 1, 1993; and, <br />WHEREAS, by letter dated November 25, 1992, the Aids Support <br />Group, through its architect, has requested that the aforementioned <br />Option be amended as to its expiration date and the land which is <br />the subject to the Option; <br />WHEREAS, it appears that good cause exists to modify the <br />existing Option, and that it is in the best interests of the City <br />to do so; <br />• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that the Option Agreement between the <br />City of Charlottesville and the Charlottesville Housing Foundation/ <br />Aids Support Group for property on Shamrock Road is hereby amended <br />to provide as follows: <br />(1) The Option shall be for Lots 19, 20, 21 and 22 of the <br />property identified on City Real Property Tax Map 22 as Parcel 64, <br />said Lots containing approximately 20,000 square feet, more or <br />less, with approximately 100 feet of frontage on Shamrock Road. <br />(2) The Option may be exercised at any time before December <br />31, 1993, by fulfillment of the conditions stated in the Option <br />Agreement, as modified herein. <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the purchase price for the <br />property shall be Thirty -Seven Thousand, Four Hundred Fifty and <br />00/100 Dollars ($37,450.00). The Mayor or the City Manager is <br />authorized to execute a formal amendment or revision to the Option <br />Agreement on behalf of the City, in a form approved by the City <br />Attorney. <br />Aooroved by Council <br />December 28, 1992 <br />• C e k of City Counci <br />
