structure is of such historic, architectural or cultural <br />significance that the public interest will best be served by <br />• requiring the owner to postpone such demolition and to make a bona <br />fide offer to sell such structure and the land pertaining thereto <br />pursuant to Virginia Code § 15.1-503.2. The offer must be at a <br />price reasonably related to the fair market value of the structure <br />and land and must be made to the city, or to any person, firm, <br />corporation, government or agency thereof which gives reasonable <br />assurance that it is willing to preserve and restore the landmark, <br />building, site or structure and lands pertaining thereto. <br />(b) ... <br />(c) The time during which such offers to sell shall remain open <br />shall be as follows: <br />(1) Three (3) months when the offering price is less than <br />twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00). <br />(2) Four (4) months when the offering price is equal to or <br />greater than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) but less <br />than forty thousand dollars ($40,000.00). <br />(3) Five (5) months when the offering price is equal to or <br />greater than forty thousand dollars ($40,000.00) but less than <br />fifty-five thousand dollars($55,000.00). <br />• (4) Six (6) months when the offering price is equal to or <br />greater than fifty-five thousand dollars ($55,000.00) but less than <br />seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000.00). <br />(5) Seven (7) months when the offering price is equal to or <br />greater than seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000.00) but less <br />than ninety thousand dollars ($90,000.00). <br />(6) Twelve (12) months when the offering price is equal to or <br />greater than ninety thousand dollars ($90,000.00). <br />Sec. 34-700.
