AN ORDINANCE <br />• TO QUITCLAIMING THE CITY'S INTEREST IN <br />A PORTION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY NEAR THE 250 BYPASS AND PARK STREET, <br />ACQUIRED BY THE CITY <br />FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. <br />WHEREAS, the City acquired certain residual land from the Commonwealth of Virginia <br />after thesonstruction of the 250 Bypass (the "City Property"); and <br />WHEREAS, Karen Smith, owner of City Tax Map Parcel 47-22, and Suzanne Kramer, <br />owner of City Tax Map Parcel 47-20.1, need to effect a boundary line adjustment to their <br />respective properties, which would involve acquisition of certain portions of the City Property; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Karen Smith wishes to acquire that portion of the City Property shown as <br />Parcel Y on the attached plat made by B. Aubrey Huffman & Associates, Ltd., dated May 4, <br />1999, and attached hereto, and Suzanne Kramer wishes to acquire that portion of the City <br />Property shown as Parcel Z on the attached plat; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Department and the City Engineer have no objection to the <br />conveyance of Parcel Y and Parcel Z; now, therefore, <br />• BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Deed of Boundary Adjustment, in form approved by the <br />City Attorney, which will quitclaim all of the City's right, title and interest in Parcel Y to Karen <br />Smith, and quitclaim all of the City's right, title and interest in Parcel Z to Suzanne Kramer.
