ORDINANCE <br />• APPROVING AMENDED DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY AND UNION STATION PARTNERS <br />FOR UNION STATION PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, by ordinance approved October 6, 1997, this Council authorized the <br />Mayor to sign a Development Agreement between the City and Union Station Partners <br />("Developer") for the renovation of the West Main Street train station; and <br />WHEREAS, the Developer has requested certain changes in the Development <br />Agreement, and such amendments have been approved by the City Attorney and other <br />City staff in a revised agreement (Amended and Restated Development Agreement); now, <br />therefore; <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that: <br />(1) The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute in behalf of the City any and all <br />deeds, in form approved by the City Attorney, for Phase I of the Union Station Project, <br />including those granting utility, aerial, and other necessary easements; and <br />(2) The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City the <br />Amended and Restated Development Agreement, dated March 1, 1999, in form approved <br />by the City Attorney. <br />Approved by Council <br />March 15, 1999 <br />LSF- Ate- i 6 <br />(gXerk of City C uncil <br />
