• (2) Other. All gas used for summer air conditioning shall be separately billed <br />at the rate of seven <br />dollars ($7.00) per one thousand (1,000) cubic feet. All gas used during <br />billing periods other than May through October of each year shall be at the <br />rates set forth in section 31-56, 31-60 or 31-61 of this Code, as applicable. <br />(b) The director of finance may, when it is impracticable to install a separate meter for <br />air conditioning equipment, permit the use of one (1) meter for all gas delivered to the customer, <br />in which instance the director of finance shall estimate the amount of gas for uses other than air <br />conditioning and shall bill for such gas at the rates provided in applicable sections of this <br />division. <br />Sec. 31-59. Same - Ornamental gas lights. <br />(a) Unmetered gas service under this section may be furnished to consumers who have <br />installed ornamental gas lights. The monthly charge for ornamental gas lights shall be as <br />follows: <br />(1) Twelve dollars ($12.00) per <br />month for each light with a single mantle or orifice where the monthly use of gas <br />• will not exceed two thousand (2,000) cubic feet per month per light. <br />(2) Six dollars and six cents ($6.06) Five dollafs and eighty eight eents <br />($}98) per month for each mantle or orifice in each light using more than one <br />mantle or orifice where the monthly use of gas through each orifice will not <br />exceed one thousand (1,000) cubic feet per month. <br />The above rates shall be ten (10) percent higher for such use outside of the city. <br />Sec. 31-60. Interruptible sales service. <br />(a) Conditions.... <br />(b) Customer's agreement as to discontinuance of service. A customer purchasing gas <br />pursuant to this section agrees to discontinue the service when requested by the gas <br />superintendent, on one hour's notice, at any time whenever, in the sole judgment of the gas <br />superintendent, such gas is not available for delivery under this section.
