Prepared April 26, 2002 <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING ARTICLE V OF CHAPTER 26 <br />OF THE CHARLOTTESVILLE CITY CODE, 1990, AS AMENDED, <br />RELATING TO THE COLLECTION OF COMMERCIAL REFUSE <br />BY INCREASING THE FEES FOR PURCHASING DISPOSAL STICKERS <br />AS SET FORTH IN SECTION 26-64 <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that Chapter <br />26, Article V, Section 64 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1990, as amended, is hereby <br />amended by increasing the fees for purchasing disposal stickers by twenty-five percent (25%), <br />which shall read as follows: <br />Sec. 26-64. Fees for purchasing disposal stickers. <br />Disposal stickers shall be sold by the city or its authorized agents at the following regular <br />or list prices: <br />Per "large" container sticker (up to <br />thirty -two -gallon capacity and up to <br />fifty (50) pounds) ............................ $ 6.86 $ 1.00 <br />Per "small container sticker (up to <br />sixteen -gallon capacity and up to <br />twenty-five (25) pounds) ................ 0740 0.50 <br />Per "annual' container sticker if <br />purchased between July 1 and <br />September 30 ............................... 35.00 43.75 <br />Per "annual' container sticker if <br />purchased between October I and <br />December 31 ................................ 26.i5 32.81 <br />Per "annual' container sticker if <br />purchased between January 1 and <br />March 31 ..................................... i7.50 21.88 <br />Per "annual' container sticker if <br />purchased between April 1 and <br />June 30 ........................................ $ 95 10.94 <br />Authorized agents who market stickers for the city at retail may purchase stickers from <br />the city at a five (5) percent discount of the list price, but they may not sell the stickers at a higher <br />price than the list price set forth herein. <br />Approved by Councii <br />May 20, 2002 erk of City Councii <br />
