E <br />a <br />ARTICLE XI <br />SECTION 1101 INITIAL TERM OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS <br />FRANCHISE <br />The term of the franchise granted by this Ordinance shall be for a period of five (5) years <br />from the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 1102 APPLICATION FOR NEW TELECOMMUNICATIONS <br />FRANCHISE <br />If the Company wishes to maintain its equipment within the City and to continue the <br />operation of the system beyond the term of the franchise granted by this Ordinance, it <br />shall give written notice to the City at least one hundred twenty (120) days before <br />expiration of the franchise granted by this Ordinance, stating that it wishes to apply for a <br />new franchise. Such application shall include a report of the location of the Facilities <br />owned by the Company within the City's PROW, and a statement as to whether the <br />Company has complied with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 1103 OPERATION OF FACILITIES OWNED BY THE <br />COMPANY WHILE RENEWAL IS PENDING <br />Upon a timely request by the Company prior to the expiration of its initial franchise, the <br />Company shall be permitted to continue operations of the Facilities owned by the <br />Company within the City under the terms of the franchise granted by this Ordinance until <br />the City acts. Nothing herein shall be construed to grant the Company a perpetual <br />franchise interest. <br />ARTICLE XII <br />SECTION 1201 NOTICE <br />All notices, except for in cases of emergencies, required pursuant to the franchise granted <br />by this Ordinance shall be in writing and shall be mailed or,delivered to the following <br />address: <br />16 <br />
