• AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF <br />CITY -OWNED PROPERTY (7TH STREET N.E. RIGHT OF WAY) <br />TO THE SUTTON GROUP, LLC <br />WHEREAS, The Sutton Group, LLC, the owner of property designated as Parcel <br />151 on City Real Estate Tax Map 53, wishes to acquire a portion of the. adjoining 7`h <br />Street, N.E. right of way, as shown on the attached drawing; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Virginia Code sec. 15.2-1800 (B), a public <br />hearing was held to give the public an opportunity to comment on the proposed <br />conveyance of the City property as requested by The Sutton Group, LLC; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer, the City Traffic Engineer and the Public Utilities <br />Manager have reviewed the proposed conveyance and have no objection thereto; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the Mayor is authorized to execute a deed of quitclaim, in <br />form approved by the City Attorney, for that portion of the 7`h Street, N.E. right of way, <br />approximately 1.5 feet wide and 66.5 feet in length (approximately 99.75 sf in area), <br />• adjacent to Parcel 151 on City Tax Map 53, and shown on the attached drawing. <br />Compensation to the City for the conveyance shall be $22.00 per square foot, for a total <br />purchase price of $2,194.50. The City Attorney is hereby authorized to take whatever <br />steps are necessary to effect the closing of said property conveyance. <br />Approved by Council <br />March 21, 2005 <br />C k of <br />e City Co ncil <br />
