BE -IT RESOLVED, by the Council of-the=City of.Charlottesville_; that <br />the City Attorney be authorized to take all actions deemed.by him necessary, <br />and proper for the City of Charlottesville to participate as a'party to'thex <br />litigation challenging the constitutionality. the 1976 :amendments to Yhe' <br />' <br />federal Unemployment Compensation Tax Act, P.L.. 99=566 and related acts <br />making such tax -,and requirements'.applicable to;state'and local, goveMmental <br />- <br />employees, including the payment of the City's pro=_rata share of the expen-ses. <br />of such litigation to' the `Trust Fund of the National Institute of.
