A RESOLUTION GRANTING A SPECIAL PERMIT FOR THE USE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 916 PRESTON AVENUE AS AN ELECTRONICS ASSEMBLY PLANT. WHEREAS, Albemarle Farmers, Incorporated- has applied fora special permit for its lessee, Isotemp, Inc. , to use a portion of the property owned by it located at 916 Preston Avenue in a B-3 Business District, as an assembly plant, not to exceed 10,000 square feet in gross floor area with no more than ten percent of such floor area utilized for fabrication of parts; and WHEREAS, such application, has been duly advertised as provided by law, and has been the subject of a public hearing jointly held by this Council and the City Planning Commission on April 10, 1979; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has recommended approval of such special permit, now, therefore, be it • RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that: (1) A portion of the property located in a B-3 Business District at 916 Preston Avenue, designated as Parcel 57 on City Real Property Tax Map 31, is hereby granted a special permit for use as an assembly plant, not exceeding 10,000 square feet in gross floor area, with no more than ten percent of such floor area to be used for the fabrication of parts, as permitted under §31-93 of the City Code. (2) The Council finds that such use conforms to the require- ments for special permits generally imposed by Article XX (§31-218 et seq.).of Chapter31 of the City Code, and this permit is subject to all conditions and restrictions imposed generally by such article. (3) Such special permit shall be limited to that portion of the aforesaid property designated for such use on the site plan submitted with the special permit application, and shall further be conditioned upon development of the property in accordance with such site plan,. as modified by the Planning Commission, • and finally approved by -the Director of Planning.
