• Resolution <br />WHEREAS, by a resolution adopted May 1, 1978, the City <br />Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia (the "City <br />Council") approved a Redevelopment Plan for Vinegar Hill <br />Redevelopment Project, As Amended by Amendment No. 4, dated <br />May, 1978 (the "Redevelopment Plan"); <br />WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that it is in <br />the public interest that the Redevelopment Plan be amended <br />as provided below; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA: <br />1. It is hereby declared that it is in the best . . . <br />• interests of the public to amend the land use provisions of <br />the Redevelopment Plan in order to allow commercial and public <br />land use by both private enterprise and public entities. <br />2. The Charlottesville Redevelopment & Housing <br />Authority (the "Authority") is hereby authorized and directed <br />to prepare such amendments to the Redevelopment Plan as it <br />deems necessary or advisable in order to amend the Redevelop- <br />ment Plan as set forth above. <br />3. Further, the proper officials of the Authority and <br />City Council are hereby authorized and directed to give notice <br />of City Council's intent to amend the Redevelopment Plan, to <br />hold a public hearing on October 19, 1981, with respect to <br />such amendments and to take such other and further actions <br />• as they may deem appropriate in connection therewith. <br />
