• <br />C� <br />y <br />< <br />go <br />THIS QUITCLAIM DEED made this 2nd day of August, 1982, by <br />and between the CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, hereinafter the Grantor, <br />and MARY GALLIGAN, hereinafter the Grantee, whose address is 621 <br />Monticello Road, Charlottesville, Virginia 22901, <br />W I T N E S S E T H: <br />WHEREAS the house located at the intersection of Monticello <br />Road and Tufton Avenue in the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, <br />known as Parcel 107, Tax Map 57, and 621 Monticello Road, previ- <br />ously owned by Va1Jal Corporation and now owned by the Grantee, <br />encroaches several inches onto the platted right of way for <br />Tufton Avenue; <br />WHEREAS said encroachment has existed for many years and <br />'does not interfere with the present or projected future flow of <br />vehicular and pedestrian traffic; <br />WHEREAS a resolution was passed by the City Council of the <br />City of Charlottesville on August 2, 1982, authorizing the Vice <br />Mayor to execute a deed conveying a strip of land to the Grantee <br />to correct the encroachment; and <br />WHEREAS this deed has been approved by the City Attorney. <br />NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration of Five Dollars <br />($5.00) cash in hand paid and other good and valuable considers - <br />tion, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the City of <br />Charlottesville does hereby GRANT, CONVEY and QUITCLAIM unto Mary <br />Galligan as her sole and separate equitable estate free from the <br />control and marital rights of any present or future husband and <br />free from any curtesy rights or inchoate curtesy rights of any <br />present or future husband of the said Mary Galligan, all of which <br />are hereby expressly excluded, and with the full and complete <br />authority in the said Mary Galligan to alien, convey, encumber <br />and otherwise deal with and dispose of the same without necessity <br />of joinder by or with any present or future husband of the said <br />Mary Galligan, <br />All that certain strip or parcel of land shown <br />as Parcel X on plat of William S. Roudabush, <br />Inc., dated July 16, 1982, revised Juny 27, <br />1982, and hereto attached and made a part of <br />
