0 <br />• <br />RESOLUTION <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT BADGES <br />WHEREAS, the City Fire Department has changed the design <br />of the badges for its personnel, and the old badges cannot <br />be sold to the public in the manner prescribed for sale of <br />surplus city property because of the official nature of the <br />badge; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Department has tried unsuccessfully <br />to sell the old badges for recycling purposes to the badge <br />manufacturer; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia, that the chief of the Fire Department is hereby <br />authorized and directed to distribute the old badges to indi- <br />vidual department employees as a token of gratitude for their <br />service to the city. <br />Approved by Council <br />October 15, 1984 <br />CT <br />,!P o Council <br />84-6-4 <br />
