CONCURRENT RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE AND THE BOARD OF COUN- <br />TY SUPERVISORS OF ALBEMARLE COUNTY TO AMEND <br />AND RESTATE THE ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION OF <br />RIVANNA WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, by concurrent resolution of the Council of the <br />City of Charlottesville (the City) and of the Board of County <br />Supervisors of Albemarle County (the County) and a certificate <br />of incorporation issued by the State Corporation Commission, <br />pursuant to the Virginia Water and Sewer Authorities Act (the <br />Act), the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority (the Authority) was <br />incorporated as a public body politic and corporate in 1972; <br />and <br />• WHEREAS, the City and the County desire to amend and <br />restate the Articles of Incorporation of the Authority to limit <br />its powers regarding the treatment and transmission of potable <br />water and the treatment and disposal of sewage; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY SUPERVISORS OF <br />ALBEMARLE COUNTY, IN SEPARATE MEETINGS ASSEMBLED: <br />1. The Council of the City of Charlottesville and the <br />Board of County Supervisors of Albemarle County hereby indicate <br />their intention to amend and restate the Articles of Incorpora- <br />tion of the Authority as provided herein. <br />F <br />
