• <br />• <br />• <br />RESOLUTION <br />VIRGINIA HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />PROPOSAL FOR MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL HOUSING PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, by letter of October 7, 1987, the Virginia Housing <br />Development Authority notified the Honorable Francis L. Buck that <br />VHDA is considering financing a multi -family residential housing <br />development as described in Attachment A to that letter, to be <br />situated within the City of Charlottesville; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Virginia Code Section 36-55.39B, VHDA <br />cannot take final action on the proposal before allowing the City <br />of Charlottesville an opportunity to approve or disapprove it; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the project described would address a longstanding. <br />and serious need within the City of Charlottesville and would be <br />welcome; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that such proposal is hereby approved in concept. <br />Completion of the housing development in its proposed specific <br />location may require rezoning; therefore, Council cannot at this <br />time approve the specific location of the proposed development. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to <br />sign the attached certification of approval form and the Clerk of <br />Council is directed to return such form and a certified copy of <br />this resolution to VHDA. <br />Approved by Council <br />October 19, 1987 <br />►2..
