RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the Charlottesville City Council is concerned with the <br />health, safety and well-being of its citizens and desires the <br />best possible emergency services be available to them; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia Emergency Services and <br />Disaster Law of 1973 requires that each city and county develop <br />and maintain an Emergency Operations Plan which addresses its <br />planned response to emergency situations; and <br />WHEREAS, such a plan has been developed by the City staff in <br />coordination with the Virginia Department of Emergency Services <br />with input from local agencies; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Charlottesville City <br />Council that on the 19th day of September, 1988, it does hereby <br />officially adopt the City of Charlottesville Emergency Operations <br />Plan, to include plans and procedures for both peacetime and <br />war -caused disasters. <br />rk of Council <br />
