0 <br />RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Charlottesville, by <br />creating the Historic Landmarks Commission and the Boards of <br />Architectural Review, has recognized the value of encouraging <br />appropriate restoration and preservation of property in the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council wishes to encourage further such preservation <br />efforts; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has decided that such efforts by individuals <br />should be publicly recognized; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council, with the advice of the Historic Landmarks <br />Commission, the Boards of Architectural Review concurring, will <br />recognize outstanding examples of rehabilitation and rehabilitation <br />efforts; and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Renovation Corporation has done an exemplary <br />job of rehabilitating seventeen architecturally noteworthy early <br />twentieth-century fraternity and sorority houses; <br />• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City <br />of Charlottesville recognizes the Historic Renovation Corporation for <br />their innovative work. <br />Approved this 20th day of June, 1988 <br />Francis L.
