• RESOLUTION <br />AMENDING SPECIAL PERMIT GRANTED AUGUST 15, 1988 <br />FOR NORTHSIDE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, INC. TO EXPAND <br />THEIR DAY CARE/SCHOOL FACILITY ON WESTWOOD ROAD. <br />WHEREAS, Northside Christian School, Inc., with written <br />permission from the property owners, Covenant School, Inc., has <br />requested amendment of the special permit granted August 15, 1988, <br />to expand their day care center and private school, permitting up <br />to 130 children in day care and 120 students in the school, such <br />property being further identified on City Real Property Tax Map #44 <br />as parcels 28.40, 28.41, 28.42, 28.43 and 30.1, having <br />collectively, approximately 227 feet of frontage on Westwood Road <br />and containing collectively 111,858 square feet of land, or 2.57 <br />acres; <br />WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing before this Council <br />and the Planning Commission, duly advertised and held on August 8, <br />1989, this Council finds that such use will conform to the criteria <br />applicable to special permits generally under Chapter 31 of the <br />City Code; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that the special permit granted August 15, 1988, is hereby <br />amended to permit an expanded day care center and private school <br />at 1414-1416 Westwood Road, pursuant to City Code section 31-14(e). <br />This special permit is subject to the following conditions: <br />1. Administrative approval of the amended site plan. <br />2. Proper storm water management provisions on-site. <br />3. A minimum of 20% enrollment for infant care in the day <br />care center shall be maintained. <br />4. The times of operation shall be limited to weekdays from <br />6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and that no outside play <br />activities occur before 8:00 a.m. <br />5. The number of pupils occupying the day care facilities <br />population shall not exceed 130, and the number of pupils <br />attending classes in the school shall not exceed 100. <br />6. Additional screening shall be placed between the site and <br />residential areas. <br />7. All improvements shown on the previous site plan shall <br />be completed within sixty (60) days from the date Council <br />grants this amendment. <br />8. There shall be no temporary office buildings, but there <br />may be up to two additional modular classrooms, which <br />shall be removed no later than two (2) years from the <br />date this amendment is approved. <br />• Approved by Council <br />Septerber 5, 1989 rl: of Council <br />89-6-37 <br />
