• RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the Charlottesville -Albemarle Jaycees intend to <br />sponsor a circus in the City of Charlottesville from September 5-7, <br />1989; and <br />WHEREAS, the Jaycees have requested that the Council of the <br />City of Charlottesville waive certain license tax and other <br />requirements applicable to the circus; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council is willing to support this request <br />to the extent set forth below; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the following fees and requirements are <br />waived: <br />1. The circus performance fees of $150 for the first <br />performance and $100 for each subsequent performance <br />• ordinarily imposed by City Code Section 15-118 (e). <br />2. The tent erection fee imposed by City Code Section 5-5. <br />3. $50.00 per annum Peddlers License fee or tax imposed by <br />City Code Section 15-112. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following matters, to the <br />extent applicable, are not waived: <br />1. Inspections for amusement rides associated with the <br />circus, if any, and any related fees. <br />2. $50.00 per day deposit to cover the cost of additional <br />city services, which fee may be refunded in part, imposed <br />by City Code Section 3-2. <br />3. The Jaycees shall furnish proper documentation to the <br />City that adequate liability insurance is in place <br />covering this event in an amount of at least $1,000,000, <br />with the City being named as an additional insured. <br />Approved by Council <br />• August 7, 1989 <br />C erk of Council <br />
