• CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA RIDGE STREET BRIDGE PROJECT LOCATION AND DESIGN PUBLIC HEARING APPROVAL RESOLUTION WHEREAS, a Location and Design Public Hearing was conducted on December 3, 1987, in the City of Charlottesville by representatives of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Transportation after due and proper notice for the purpose of considering the proposed location and design of the Ridge St. Bridge Project (U000-104-104, PE102, C-502) in the City of Charlottesville, at which hearing aerial photographs, drawings and other pertinent information were made available for public inspection in accordance with state and federal requirements; and WHEREAS, all persons and parties in attendance were afforded full opportunity to participate in said public hearing; and WHEREAS, representatives of the City of • Charlottesville were present and participated in said hearing; and WHEREAS, the Council had previously requested the Virginia Department of Transportation to program this project; and WHEREAS, the CSX Transportation Corp. has recently approved the City request to accept a clearance under the Bridge of 18'-411; and WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Transportation has indicated that, based on this change in clearance, the previous bridge design can be modified to meet the existing grades at the driveway to the Central Fire Station and at the steps in front of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church; and WHEREAS, the Council considered all such matter; now THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Charlottesville hereby approves the location and major design features of the proposed project as presented at the public hearing and with the modifications stated above, including City Council final design review before the project proceeds to constuction; and • BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Charlottesville requests the Virginia Department of
