• the Code of Virginia exempting certain real property currently <br />owned by the McIntire Land Trust located at 1027 Park Street; <br />provided that such tax exemption shall be limited and apply only to <br />the following described real property: <br />All that certain tract or parcel of land with <br />the improvements thereon, fronting on the <br />north side of U.S. 250, a by-pass road, a <br />short distance west of the intersection of <br />said Road with Park Street, containing 7.445 <br />acres, more or less, together with that <br />certain lot fronting 70 feet on the west side <br />of Park Street and running back between <br />parallel lines to the 7.445 acre parcel <br />described above, being the same property <br />conveyed to McIntire Land Trust by The <br />Covenant School, Inc. by deed of exchange <br />dated August 25, 1989, of record in the <br />Charlottesville Circuit Court Clerk's Office <br />in Deed Book 533, page 235; <br />and this Council recommends that this exemption, if granted, be <br />placed in the "charitable" classification. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said exemption from real property <br />• tax for the real property at 1027 Park Street shall apply only <br />during the time that MACAA owns said property and uses it <br />exclusively for MACAA's charitable purposes, and that no personal <br />property and no other real property owned by MACAA shall be exempt <br />from taxation pursuant to this resolution. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council is <br />directed to convey certified copies of this resolution to the <br />members of the General Assembly representing the City. <br />Approved by Council <br />April 5, 1993 <br />erk of City CoUncil <br />
