• RESOLUTION <br />At a regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Charlottesville, Virginia held on March 15, 1993, on a <br />motion by Rev. Edwards , seconded by Ms. Slaughter , the <br />following resolution was adopted by a vote of 5 to 0 . <br />WHEREAS, National Optronics, Inc. has entered into a contract <br />to purchase property located in the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia and has entered into a firm contract to construct its <br />facilities on that property for the purpose of producing eyeglass <br />manufacturing and lens grinding machinery; and <br />WHEREAS, this new facility is expected to involve a new <br />private capital investment in land, building, and manufacturing <br />is equipment of approximately $1,333,000 and National <br />Optronics, Inc. is expected to employ up to 75 persons at this <br />facility; and <br />WHEREAS, the property on which this facility will be located <br />has no access to a public street or highway and requires the <br />construction of a new roadway which would connect to Avon Street <br />(Route 20); and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville hereby guarantees that <br />the necessary right of way for this new roadway and utility <br />relocations or adjustments, if necessary, will be provided at no <br />cost to the Virginia Department of Transportation; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville hereby guarantees that <br />• the necessary right of way for this improvement, and utility <br />
