RESOLUTION <br />• AMENDING THE SPECIAL USE PERMIT GRANTED <br />TO LE-JUD LAND TRUST TO ALLOW INCREASE <br />OF OCCUPANCY LIMIT FROM 12 TO 14 RESIDENTS <br />AT 503 16TH STREET, NW (SIGMA KAPPA SORORITY) <br />WHEREAS, A. L. Yancey, Trustee for <br />the property at 503 16th Street, N.W., <br />to the special use permit granted by <br />1986, and amended June 18, 1990 (copies <br />occupancy limit of the sorority from <br />property being further identified as <br />Property Tax Map 5; and <br />Le -Jud Land Trust, owner of <br />has requested an amendment <br />City Council on April 21, <br />attached), to increase the <br />12 to 14 residents; this <br />Parcel 71 on City Real <br />WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing before this Council <br />and the Planning Commission, duly advertised and held on May 11, <br />1993, this Council finds that such use will conform to the criteria <br />applicable to special permits generally under Chapter 34 of the <br />City Code; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that the special use permit granted on April 21, 1986, and <br />amended June 18, 1990, for the Sigma Kappa Sorority at 503 16th <br />Street, N.W. is hereby amended to allow an increase in the <br />occupancy limit of the building from 12 to 14 residents. <br />• This amendment to the special use permit is approved with the <br />condition that any resident with a physical disability be <br />accommodated with a first floor bedroom. <br />Approved by Council <br />June 7, 1993 <br />/.K..w4lttR- <br />C k of City Council <br />40 <br />
