• <br />C, <br />J <br />0 <br />RESOLUTION <br />E-911 Telephone System <br />WHEREAS, an Enhanced 9-1-1 Telephone System ("E-911") <br />continues to be the universally accepted and vital emergency <br />communications link between a telephone caller in need of emergency <br />help and those persons providing such service; and <br />WHEREAS, reasons given on June 3, 1991, by this Council for <br />creation of the special E-911 tax continue to exist; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia, that use of a portion of the money raised by collection <br />of said E-911 tax for the City's share of the capital costs of <br />constructing a building to house the E-911 Center for the <br />Charlottesville -Albemarle community is necessary, appropriate, and <br />meets the approval of this Council. <br />Approved by Council <br />November 7, 1994 <br />1 rk of City Council <br />
