• RESOLUTION <br />91h Street Revitalization and Redevelopment Project <br />Whereas the Piedmont Housing Alliance and the City of Charlottesville are currently <br />working together to revitalize and redevelop a one block area along 9'h Street in the City <br />of Charlottesville; <br />Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that the Piedmont <br />Housing Alliance may apply on behalf of the City of Charlottesville for $100,000 in <br />Virginia Derelict Structures funds to be used for the acquisition, demolition, and removal <br />of the following properties: 1) 301 91h Street; 2) 311 9`h Street; 3) 315 9`h Street; and 4) <br />904 Grove Street; <br />Be it further resolved that the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia agrees to <br />allocate at least $100,000.00 in local and/or HOME funds toward the 9`h Street <br />Revitalization and Redevelopment Project to furnish 100% matching funds required by <br />the Derelict Structures Fund program; provided, however, that each dollar paid by the <br />City to Piedmont Housing Alliance pursuant to a contract between those two parties <br />dated August 1, 1999, terms of which are incorporated herein, will count toward the <br />• City's local match obligation under this state program and that therefore City funds other <br />than those paid Piedmont through the August Is' contract shall not be required. <br />Approved by City Council <br />August 2, 1999 <br />A�. <br />of City Council <br />0 <br />
